Kathleen M. Blanchard, 54, of 31 Kathy Way died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center from diabetes-related complications.
Born in Worcester on Sept. 18, 1952, daughter of Charles K. and Marjorie Orstrom Walker, she was a 1970 graduate of Burncoat High School and attended Berkshire Community College.
Mrs. Blanchard was a resource planner for Western Massachusetts Electric Co., where she had worked for 21 years.
She and her husband, Philip J. Blanchard III, were married March 10, 1979.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Philip J. Blanchard IV of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two daughters, Kelly A. Chenail of Enfield, Conn., and Kristen E. Blanchard of Boston; a sister, Linda McHugh of Charleston, S.C.; and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Kathleen M. Blanchard, who died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, will be celebrated Thursday at 10 at St. Mary the Morning Star Church in Pittsfield by the Rev. Paul A. Bombardier, pastor.
There will be no calling hours. Following cremation, burial will be in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Leicester. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Blanchard may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
Mrs. Blanchard was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Jeffrey, and by a sister, Patricia Parker. She leaves her granddaughter, Lauren E. Chenail; daughter-in-law, Andrea; son-in-law, Matthew Chenail; brother-in-law, Robert McHugh; and several nieces and nephews.
