Victoria Houghtaling, 60, of 169 Valentine Road died Tuesday afternoon at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 6, 1946, daughter of Angelo and Theresa Palumbo Vicki, she attended Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Houghtaling was employed by Hillcrest Commons as a caregiver for ten years. She had received recognition as a "longtime devoted employee."
She enjoyed ceramics and bingo and loved being with people.
She married Wallace E. Houghtaling Jr. on Jan. 25, 1969. He died Dec. 13, 1981.
She leaves three sons, Michael Vicki of Concord, Wallace H. Houghtaling of Pittsfield and James H. Houghtaling of Standish, Maine; a daughter, Christine H. Houghtaling of Pittsfield; and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Victoria Anne Houghtaling, who died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. William D. Furey, pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel, officiating.
Calling hours will precede from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Houghtaling may be made to Berkshire Medical Cancer Research in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. Houghtaling is survived by two daughters-in-law, Becky Houghtaling and Katie Gilman; and five grandchildren, Aaron Houghtaling, Austin Houghtaling, Shawn Houghtaling, Kristina Goewey and Jamie Hassan.
