She was a 1960 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Joyce was employed by Berkshire Pediatric Associates, retiring in 2000 with 25 years of service. Previously, she was employed by Pittsfield Co-Operative Bank and, from 1960 to 1962, by Leo Samson Office Supply Co.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Mark A. Joyce of Richmond, Vt.; a brother, Robert R. Allen of Malta, N.Y.; and a grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Judith "Dorkie" Joyce died in Albany, N.Y., on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006. She was the loving grandmother of Evan Allen Joyce and the beloved mother-in-law of Meghan and sister-in-law of Elizabeth.
She also leaves many nieces, nephews and many devoted friends. Judy was a medical receptionist at Berkshire Pediatric Associates, where she was, unabashedly, in her own terms and to the common agreement of her colleagues, "the smartest, prettiest and hardest-working" employee in her 25 years of devoted service.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BMC Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, in care of the funeral home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, in her memory.
