Lucia DiPrimio

Lucia DiPrimio, 92, of 161 Newell St. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.
She had resided at Hillcrest Commons for two years.
Born in Turrivalignani, province of Pescara, Italy, on Feb. 10, 1914, daughter of Vincenzo and Angela Ferrante Mancini, she attended Italian schools.
She emigrated to the United States in 1958, eventually settling in Pittsfield.
Mrs. DiPrimio was employed by the former St. Luke's Hospital and by the former Pittsfield General Hospital, now Berkshire Medical Center, in their housekeeping departments.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed baking, cooking and reading her Bible.
She and her husband, Antonio DiPrimio, were married in Italy on Nov. 14, 1935. He died March 7, 2005.
She leaves a daughter, Adelia Pellegrini of Pittsfield; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A son, Dorino DiPrimio, died at the age of 22 in Italy on Aug. 3, 1958.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lucia Mancini DiPrimio, who died Dec. 21, 2006, will be Saturday at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Mount Carmel Church celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial services will be Tuesday at 9:30 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, St. Jude Section. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to Mount Carmel Church, both in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. DiPrimio is lovingly survived by her son-in-law, Antonio Pellegrini; her four grandchildren, Angelo Pellegrini and Dorina El Saddik, both of Pittsfield, Carlo Pellegrini of Springfield and Cynthia Pellegrini of Rome; by her adored great-grandchildren, Michael and Kassandra Spiller, Nicholas and Rachel Pellegrini, and Samantha and Zachary El Saddik; and by nieces and nephews in Italy and her nephew Dante DiPrimio of Ballston Spa, N.Y.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Donato and Nicola Mancini, and by two sisters, Assunta Fidanza and Antonietta DiPrimio.
