Peter D. Foote Jr.

Peter D. Foote Jr., 52, of 9 Southbrook Lane died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness.

Born in North Adams on Jan. 31, 1954, son of Peter D. Foote Sr. and Adelia Cilli Foote, he was a 1972 graduate of Drury High School, and received his bachelor's degree in finance from Norwich University.

He moved to Pittsfield 15 years ago.

Mr. Foote was a supervisor at Petricca Construction Co. He previously was employed by other construction companies in the same capacity.

He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

He and his wife, the former Jacqueline Tierney, were married in Pittsfield on Dec. 31, 1995.

Besides his wife and parents, of North Adams, he leaves a daughter, Michaela Foote of Pittsfield; two stepsons, Kyle and Kristopher Magargal of Pittsfield; a brother, Robert Foote of Adams; and a sister, Gail Foote of Leominster and Palm Springs, Calif.

Two other sons, Peter D. Foote III and Thomas Foote, died in 1991 and 1996, respectively.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mr. Peter D. Foote Jr. died in Pittsfield on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006. Loving godchild to Lee Cilli. He also leaves his very close uncle, John Cilli, as well as several other uncles, aunts and cousins.

He also leaves his mother- and father-in-law, Peter and Frances Tierney; a sister-in-law, Karen; and four brothers-in-law, Brad George, and Peter F., Chris and Patrick Tierney. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Michaela Foote Education Fund in care of the funeral home in his memory.

He will always be missed by all of us...Michaela especially..he was a truly wonderful strong man and person
