Jennie M. Sinopoli, 93, of 379 East St., Providence Court, died Tuesdayat Springside of Pittsfield.
Born in New York City on Jan. 13, 1913, daughter of Salvatore and Marianna Sicchitano Sinopoli, she moved to Pittsfield at age 5 and attended local schools.
She was first employed by Berkshire Medical Center in the laundry department for 26 years, retiring in 1980. Previously, she was employed by the former Elmvale Worsted Co. for 35 years and by the former St. Luke's Hospital.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, crocheting and knitting.
She leaves a brother, Louis Sinopoli of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Jennie M. Sinopoli, who died Jan. 2, 2007, will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker CSS, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. Omission of flowers is requested, but memorial donations may be made to Mount Carmel Church in care of the funeral home. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a sister-in-law, Rose Sinopoli of Pittsfield.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Anthony F., Leonard, Salvatore and Patrick Sinopoli, and six sisters, Virginia Angelini, Sarah DiGiorgis, Anna Balestro, Theresa Krebs, Rose Williams and Katherine Valentino. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield.
