Russell DeWolf

Russell DeWolf, 44, of 68 Edgewood Drive, Averill Park, N.Y., brother of Mark DeWolf of Pittsfield, died Wednesday at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., of a sudden illness.
Born in Holyoke on Oct. 7, 1962, son of Franklin and Marion Szetela DeWolf, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1980.
He was employed by MeadWestvaco of Lee for 23 years before moving to New York, where he worked at Dynamic Solutions Inc. of Poestenskill.
He enjoyed NASCAR, and was a fan of No. 6, Mark Martin.
In addition to his brother and his parents of Chicopee, he leaves his wife, the former Carol Hayner, whom he married Oct. 28, 2005, in Troy, N.Y.
He also leaves his daughters, Nicole DeWolf of Littleton, N.H., and Jennifer DeWolf of Savannah, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Erica Aube of Averill Park, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Russell DeWolf, who died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Brookside Ave., Wynantskill, N.Y. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude the Apostle Church.
Russ was very compassionate and a fun-loving guy who will be sadly missed. He leaves his two grandchildren, Mickenlee and Alanna Holmes, both of Littleton, N.H.; a sister-in-law, Julie DeWolf of Pittsfield; several aunts and uncles; and special friends from Pittsfield.
