Maureen Quigley, 54, of Wahconah Street, died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
She had been a resident of Fairview Commons for two months before her transfer to the hospital.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, on Oct. 20, 1952, daughter of David Gilhooly and the late Charlotte Dickson-Graham Gilhooly, she was a 1970 graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School.
She had lived in Pittsfield for the past seven years. Previously, she had lived in Falls Village, Conn., and South Egremont.
Mrs. Quigly was employed by Becton Dickinson, Canaan Child Care Center and Edward Hamilton Booksellers, all in Canaan, Conn. She ran a home day care at her home in South Egremont, and was also employed at the Cove Bowling Alley in Great Barrington.
Besides her father and his wife, Ruth, of Cornwall, Conn., she leaves two daughters, Tara and Karen Quigley, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Christine Messer of Canaan; and four grandchildren. She also leaves her former husband, Raymond Quigley Sr., of Canaan.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Maureen Gilhooly Quigley, who died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at FINNERTY AND STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by the Rev. Rosalee Richards, pastor of the Canaan Episcopal Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maureen Gilhooly Quigley Memorial Fund through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
