Nancy L. Osowski, 79, of 2 Cypress Lane died Saturday at Williamstown Commons, where she had resided for two months.
Born in Pittsfield on June 21, 1927, daughter of Stanley and Helen Dydowicz Garnish, she was a 1945 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a graduate of Western Union School in New Jersey.
Mrs. Osowski was a longtime employee of the former Besse-Clarke store on North Street. She was last employed as a bookkeeper at the Pittsfield Women's Club, retiring in 2003. Earlier in her career, she worked for several Western Union offices.
She and her husband, Alex Osowski, were married Dec. 29, 1948. He died Nov. 3, 1976.
She leaves her cousin and primary caregiver, Rachel Majchrowski of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Nancy L. Osowski died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007. Graveside services will be held at Bellevue Cemetery in Adams at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or to the Berkshire County division of the American Cancer Society, both in care of DWYER FUNERAL HOME., 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements. She also leaves several other cousins.
