Carol LaBrake, 61, of 10 Cloverdale St. died Friday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided for a year and a half.
Born in Saranac Lake, N.Y., on May 30, 1945, daughter of Barbara Bryant LaBrake and the late Lawrence LaBrake, she attended schools there.
She had lived in Pittsfield for many years.
Ms. LaBrake was a foster parent for more than 25 years.
She enjoyed playing cards and gardening.
Besides her mother, of Vermontville, N.Y., she leaves two daughters, Jodi L. LaBrake of Pittsfield and Amy J. LaBrake of Hinsdale; two sisters, Betty Callahan of Chatsworth, Calif., and Mary LaBrake of Franklin Falls, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Carol LaBrake, who died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, will be held at a later date at her home. There will be no calling hours.
Carol is lovingly survived by her two grandchildren, Joshua Desnoyers and Mystie Milette; her sons-in-law, Nathan Milette and Daniel Landry; and by her loving extended family members, Tommy Lawler, Jason Methe, Larry Keenhle, Sarah and Jeremy Jandreau, and Joseph E. Daigneault.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you call someone today to tell them that you love them. DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, is in charge of arrangements. Carol enjoyed caring for all of her foster children.
