Josephine M. DiPietro

Josephine M. DiPietro, 78, of 22 Marcella Ave. died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center shortly after being admitted.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 17, 1928, daughter of Joseph and Mary Puia Parisi, she attended local schools.
Mrs. DiPietro was formerly employed as a waitress for many years at the former Nell's Restau-rant and at Adrien's Diner.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, and taking trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.
She and her husband, Anthony J. DiPietro, were married June 12, 1948, in Mount Carmel Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves five sons, Anthony S. DiPietro of Canaan, N.Y., Gary J. DiPietro of Chester, and Stanley A. DiPietro, Thomas J. DiPietro and Steven M. DiPietro, all of Pittsfield; four daughters, Constance A. Gamari of New Lebanon, N.Y., Kathleen E. DiPietro and Patricia A. Pelkey, both of Pittsfield and Jamie M. Grace of Dalton; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Josephine M. DiPietro, who died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, will be Thursday at 8:15 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian burial at 9 at Mount Carmel Church celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choosing in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
Josephine will be remembered as a kind, loving, devoted mother and grandmother. Her entire life was centered around her family, and she especially enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family.
