Josephine Mary Drobiak, 76, of 11 Lakewood Circle, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 23, 1930, daughter of Marino and Mary Cimini Cimini, she attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1950.
Mrs. Drobiak was employed for 32 years by the former England Brothers department store until its closing in 1988. She was then employed by the former Hills Department Store in the Berkshire Mall from 1988, retiring in 1993.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and a former member of the Quarter Century Club of England Brothers.
She and her husband, Frederick J. Drobiak, were married April 4, 1975, at Mount Carmel Church.
She also leaves a brother, Alfred A. Cimini of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Josephine Mary Drobiak, who died on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, will take place Thursday at 8 a.m. from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Dominic and Felix Cimini and Joseph A. Cimini Sr.
