Paul G. Huska

Paul G. Huska, 79, of Schodack, N.Y., died yesterday at Albany Medical Center after a short illness.

Born in Nashua, N.H., on July 12, 1927, son of Stephen and Eva Beauregard Huska, he attended schools there and resided in that region for 41 years.

He also was a longtime Pittsfield resident.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Huska was employed by General Electric Co. for 20 years, working as a foreman. He was also employed by East Greenbush (N.Y.) Central School for 10 years and was maintenance supervisor for Job Corp in Glenmont for 12 years.

He was a life member of Melvin Roads Post 1231 in East Greenbush, a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, the Pittsfield VFW and a member of the Berkshire County Beagle Club. He loved dog-sled races.

Besides his wife, the former Ann Collins, he leaves three daughters, Carol A. Colletto of Nassau, N.Y., Paula Bruso of Centerbrook, Conn., and Ann E. Delaney of Nassau; a son, Paul G. Huska Jr. of DeKalb Junction, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Relatives and friends are invited to attended the funeral for Paul G. Huska Sr., who died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, on Monday at 9 a.m. at ROCKEFELLER FUNERAL HOME, 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, N.Y., and 9:30 a.m. at Church of Holy Spirit in East Greenbush, N.Y., where a Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated.

Friends may call in the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, N.Y. The family has requested that those who wish to remember Paul make contributions to Castleton Ambulance at 1700 Brookview Road, Castleton, NY 12033, in his memory.

He also leaves three sons-in-law, Nick, Bill and Michael; a daughter-in-law, Kathy; and two nephews, Rocco and Francis LaRosa.
