Loretta M. Boyle

Loretta M. Boyle, 89, of 104A Highview Drive, died Saturday at home.

Born in Greenfield on Jan. 8, 1918, daughter of James M. and Matilda Dame Collins, she was a resident of Pittsfield for most of her life and attended local schools.

Mrs. Boyle was employed at the former Sheaffer Eaton Co. as a stock handler for 11 years, retiring in 1978.

She was a communicant of St. Charles Church.

Her husband, Daniel P. Boyle, died Feb. 1, 1979.

She leaves three sons, Daniel P. Boyle of Stonington, Conn., John J. Boyle of Pittsfield and Timothy J. Boyle of Pomons, Calif.; a daughter, Mary Boyle Dickson of Ottowa, Canada; two sisters, Ann Huska of Castleton-on-the-Hudson, N.Y., and Mary Gelaznik of Pittsfield; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A son, Michael T. Boyle Sr. died Aug. 19, 1998.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Loretta M. Boyle died in Pittsfield on Saturday, March 3, 2007. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 10 at 9 a.m. in St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

There are no calling hours at DWYER FUNERAL HOME, which is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Church in care of the funeral home.

She was predeceased by three brothers, James, John and Joseph Collins, and by three sisters, Margaret Hayes, Theresa McCormick and Elizabeth Pulasky Niarchos.
