Bonnie Fassell-Haggarty

Bonnie Fassell-Haggarty, 55, of 12605 Boulder St., Boulder Creek, Calif., native of Pittsfield, died Thursday at home after a lengthy illness.
Born June 14, 1951, daughter of the late Elliot Caulkins and the late Caroline Lavardie Caulkins Camarlingo, she attended Pittsfield High School and Springfield Community College.
Mrs. Fassell-Haggarty was a professional song stylist, singing jazz, cabaret and show tunes throughout the eastern seaboard. She also sang under the stage name Bonnie Elliot with Larry Gilbert's Banjo Band in Pittsfield. She worked with her husband as a contractor, installing residential soundproofing throughout the United States before she became ill. When living locally, she worked for Pittsfield and Lee VNA as a physical therapist assistant.
She leaves her husband, John Robin Haggarty, whom she married 11 years ago in Pittsfield.
She also leaves two sons, Noah Fassell of Sonoma County, Calif., and Justin Fassell of Cupertino, Calif.; a stepson, Shawn Haggarty of Boulder Creek; a stepdaughter, Maya Haggarty of Boulder Creek; a sister, Janet Caulkins of New Jersey; and two brothers, Wayne Caulkins of South Carolina and Craig Caulkins of Castro Valley, Calif.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service and interment for Bonnie Caulkins Fassell-Haggarty, who died Thursday, March 1, 2007, will be held Sunday, March 18, at time to be announced at Land of Medicine Buddha, 5800 Prescott Road, Soquel, CA 95073.
For more information, call (857) 829-0200. Memorial gifts may go to Tara Home Project, a hospice care program at Land of Medicine Buddha. Bonnie will be remembered by her family as a song stylist. She found comfort and serenity during her illness at Land of Medicine Buddha.
