Marion G. Brady

Marion G. Brady, 91, of 3930 NE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, Fla., a native of Pittsfield, died Friday at Marion House Health Care of Ocala.

Born on June 14, 1915, daughter of Harry A. and Mary Waters Seaman, she was a 1933 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.

Mrs. Brady was employed by the Federal Housing Administration for many years.

While in Pittsfield, she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She was a trained mezzo-soprano singer and performed in concerts here.

While in Florida, she was a communicant of Our Lady of the Springs Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and a former member of the choir and ran the religious articles store. She was also a member of the Council of Catholic Women, Entre Nous and NAFRE Chapter 39.

Her husband, J. Howard Brady, is deceased.

She leaves leaves two sisters, Rose M. Avalle of Silver Springs, Fla., and Barbara J. Sanders of Tennessee.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marion G. Brady, who died Friday, April 6, 2007, will be Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 at St. Joseph's Church by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Marion County, in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Seaman, and a sister, Dorothy Briggs.
