Robert A. Crewdson, 70, of 176 Columbus Ave., died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in New Brunswick, Canada, on Aug. 24, 1936, son of John E. and Bessie Calhoun Crewdson, he was a 1954 graduate of Central High School in Syracuse, N.Y.
He served in the Army and in the Air Force.
Mr. Crewdson was plant manager of the Country Curtains plant in Housatonic, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of the Toastmasters and the Columbia Mississippi Rotary Club, and enjoyed reading and camping.
He and his wife, the former Edna M. Cash, were married Dec. 27, 1955.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Lois Strong of Plymouth, N.Y.; a son, John Crewdson of Atlanta; a sister, Sharon Koberstein of Saginaw, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Robert A. "Bob" Crewdson, who died Thursday, May 10, 2007, will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
He also leaves four grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Carolyn and Sarah. Since 1963, he had enjoyed working with and learning about computers, and, most recently, working on Web site designs.
