Daniel P. Mahoney, 62, of 58 Brown St., died Friday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 30, 1945, son of Daniel J. and Gertrude Tyer Mahoney, he was a graduate of St. Mary's Grammar School in Lee and a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served from 1965 to 1967 and was a member of the Army Reserve until 1971.
He was employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for 25 years, retiring in 1996.
He enjoyed auto racing at Lebanon Valley and watching the Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
He leaves a son, Stephen D. Mahoney of Pittsfield; a daughter, Melissa J. Mahoney of Lakeland, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Daniel P. Mahoney, who died Friday, May 25, 2007, will be conducted Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee by the Rev. Daniel Papineau, pastor of St. Mary's Church.
There will be no visiting hours. KELLY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Mahoney leaves his beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Kendall and Chase Mahoney.
