Marilyn H. "Lynn" Squires, 77, a three-year resident of Hillcrest Commons, died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
She lived previously at Rose Manor.
Born in Sunderland, Vt., on Nov. 4, 1929, daughter of Alfred and Clara Hon Hazelton, she was a 1948 graduate of Bennington (Vt.) High School.
Mrs. Squires was employed by Information Resources as a marketing technician for 12 years, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading and traveling.
She leaves two daughters, Wendy D. Nickerson of Dalton and Jackie LeClair of Pittsfield; three sons, John E. Squires Jr. of Hinsdale, and Mark W. Squires and Scott H. Squires, both of Pittsfield; five sisters, Isabelle Ringer of Deland, Fla., Rose Milot of East Greenbush, N.Y., Flora Duffer of Inkon, Ind., Ann P'are of Tennessee and Elsie Goerner of Dustin, Fla.; a brother, James Bump of Connecticut; her former husband, John E. Squires Sr. of Pittsfield; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Marilyn H. "Lynn" Squires, 77, who died May 26, 2007, will be conducted Thursday at 5 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield by the Rev. William Furey, pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel in Lanesboro.
Burial will be private. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to the service. Lynn enjoyed being with her 14 grandchildren, Mark W. II, Matthew W., John E. III, Matthew J., Justin E., Nicholas T., Trevor N., Shenna, Shawna L. and Sarah C. Squires, Dakota and Dawson LeClair, Dawn Sickell and Cari-Lee Duguay; and her five great-grandchildren, Kyle Turner, Hunter Duguay, Jayden Squires, and Dylan and Haley Sickell.
She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
