Anne E. Rodrigues, 83, of Ensign Avenue died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 23, 1923, daughter of John H. and Anna Harte Sturgeon, she was a 1942 graduate of Pittsfield High.
Mrs. Rodrigues was employed by General Electric Co. in naval ordnance and in the transformer division as a reproduction typist for 23 years, retiring in 1983. She also worked for Drs. Paddock, Clifford and Wheelwright.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of Berkshire Hills Country Club.
She enjoyed reading and going to Mohegan Sun casino.
Her husband, Francis P. Rodrigues, whom she married June 7, 1947 at St. Mary's Church, died July 3, 2004.
She leaves three daughters, Kathleen Clancy of Westerly, R.I., Theresa Marzullo of Pittsfield and Ann Marie Mueller of Germany; two sisters, Barbara King of Enfield, Conn., and Marguerite Barthe of Columbia, S.C.; and two granddaughters.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Anne E. Sturgeon Rodrigues, who died in Pittsfield on Thursday, May 31, 2007, will be Tuesday, June 5, at 9 a.m. from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church celebrated by the Rev. Paul Bombardier, pastor.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday, June 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home.
She also leaves three sons-in-law, Anthony Clancy, Fred Marzullo and Arno Mueller. She was the beloved grandmother to Sarah Clancy and Zoe Mueller.
