Margaret L. Ploughman, 82, of 245 Cheshire Road died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Millbury on Feb. 22, 1919, daughter of Martin and Jane Sheehan Mahan, she moved to Lee as a child and graduated from Lee High School in 1937. She moved to Pittsfield in 1954.
She was employed by Eaton Paper Co. from 1966 until 1984. She was most recently employed as a greeter at Hill's Department Store at the Berkshire Mall in Lanesboro, retiring in 1999.
She leaves a son, Joseph M. Ploughman of Westerly, R.I.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday morning at 10 at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee is in charge of arrangements.
