Norbert M. Jacoby, 64, of 145 Buckman Road, Rochester, N.Y., died Friday in Wilmington, Vt., while on vacation.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 18, 1943, son of Norbert H. and Beulah Ressler Jacoby, he was a 1960 graduate of Pittsfield High School. In 1964, he received a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont, and later received his master's degree from the University of Maryland.
At the time of his death, Mr. Jacoby was employed by the Rochester Public School System as a mathematics and science teacher.
He enjoyed hiking, skiing and playing tennis.
He leaves two sisters, Linda J. Minneci of Lanesborough and Susan J. Montague of Queensbury, N.Y.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services for Norbert M. Jacoby, who died Friday, July 13, 2007, will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family in Pittsfield Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice, in care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jacoby also leaves a brother-in-law, Daniel Minneci.
