Leila A. Wich, 69, of 187 The Lane, Earlton, N.Y., a native of Pittsfield, died Wednesday at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany, N.Y.
Born on Aug. 12, 1938, daughter of John and Josephine Fitch Fitzpatrick, she attended St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Wich was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Coxsackie, N.Y., and a skilled scrapbooker.
She and her husband, Kenneth F. Wich, would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary yesterday.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Kenneth J. Wich of Belfast, Maine, and Steven C. Wich and Gary M. Wich, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four daughters, Susan M. Wich of Northtown, Pa., Nancy J. Wich of PennYann, N.Y., Carol E. Glover of Strasburg, Pa., and Elaine B. VanEtten of Ravena, N.Y.; three sisters, Regina Furciniti of Pocasset, and Mary Hayes and Kathleen Fitzpatrick, both of Pittsfield; and 18 grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Leila A. Wich, who died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 3, at St. Mary's Church in Coxsackie, N.Y., by the Rev. Richard Shaw. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
Calling hours at W.C. BRADY'S SONS INC. FUNERAL HOME, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in the family plot of St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to Community Hospice of Albany County, designated to The Hospice Inn., 315 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY, 12208, or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
She was predeceased by her brother, John Fitzpatrick, and a sister, Patricia Fallon.
