Eleanor M. Liverseidge, 87, formerly of Columbus Avenue, died Saturday at Springside Nursing Home.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 15, 1919, daughter of Matthew and Ella Poopor Blaney, she was a 1937 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Liverseidge was employed by the former A.H. Rice Silk Mill for 25 years, retiring in 1980. Before that, she worked at the former Lee Supermarket.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies' Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to the senior center.
Her husband, Joseph T. Liverseidge Jr., whom she married Sept. 2, 1946, died June 24, 2003.
She leaves a son, Robert M. Liverseidge; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Joseph T. Liverseidge III.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Eleanor Liverseidge, who died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, will be Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
There will be 45 minutes of calling time prior to the church service. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assocation, in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
Mrs. Liverseidge will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren, Janice, Amy, Jay Michael and Jill; her great-grandchildren, Brina, Loren, Colby, Andrew and Lucas; and her daughters-in-law, Theresa (Robert) and Mary (Joe).
