Kathleen Mangold, 90, of Fiske Hill Road, Sturbridge, died Monday at Harrington Memorial Hospitalin Sturbridge
She lived in Pittsfield from 1954 to 1960.
Born in Sturbridge on Jan. 15, 1917, daughter of James and Gertrude Eaves Westwell, she graduated from Becker Junior College.
Mrs. Mangold and her husband owned and operated Mangold Real Estate in Worcester for many years and she also worked the American Optical Co.
She was a lifetime member of the Worcester Horticultural Society, and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Mrs. Mangold leaves her husband of 53 years, Wilfred Mangold.
Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Nancy Gilbert of Sturbridge; Karen Mangold of Worcester and Sylvia Albetski of Enfield, Conn.; a sister, Yvonne Guardiani of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Kathleen Westwell Mangold, who died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at BELANGER-BULLARD FUNERAL HOME, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge, followed by a service at 11 a.m. at the Sturbridge Federated Church, at the corner of Maple St. and Route 131. Burial will follow at North Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She leaves her grandchildren, Holly Gilbert Allen, Alan Gilbert, Michael and Sue Albetski, Donna Dorman and Sandy Kittle. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Joseph Westwell. She had a keen wit for matchmaking, and had been legally blind from the age of 22.
