Doris Vincent, 87, of 41 Wood Ave. died Tuesday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 29, 1920, daughter of Willard F. and Maude Woods Mosher, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Vincent was employed by Berkshire Communicators from 1970 until retiring in 1990.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, of PEO Chapter V and of Take Off Pounds Sensibly, Chapter 451.
She was a volunteer at the Ralph Froio Senior Center and a reader with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program's Friends Read program.
She and her husband, Robert Leland Vincent, were married July 4, 1941. He died in September 1970.
She leaves two daughters, Muriel Foley of Stanardsville, Va., and Judith L. Herrick of Pittsfield; a brother, Richard Mosher of Pittsfield; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Doris Vincent, who died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, will be conducted tomorrow at 9 a.m. by the Rev. Church Young, hospice chaplain, at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield.
Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the PEO Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home. Survivors also include two sons-in-law, James Foley and Dave Herrick.
