Steven James Knight

Steven James Knight, 54, of New Hartford, Conn., died Friday at Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital after suffering injuries in a car accident this summer.
He was the son of Albert D. Knight of Pittsfield.
Born in Hartford, Conn., on March 9, 1953, also the son of the late Jean Krasnoff Knight, he was a graduate of Canton High School and of Northeastern University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business.
For many years, Mr. Knight owned William Sanders Co. in Beacon Falls, Conn., and Autogrear Co. in Canton, both dealers of foreign auto motor parts.
Besides his father, he leaves three sons, Jameson S. Knight, Curtis A. Knight and Christian G. Knight, all of Farmington, Conn.; a sister, Susan R. Knight of Wellesley Hills; a stepbrother, James E. Rettie of Agawam; a stepsister, Alison R. Steinmiller of North Chili, N.Y.; his stepmother, Jan R. Knight of Pittsfield; and his former wife, Georgia J. Grandy of Farmington.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Steven J. Knight, who died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Road, Collinsville, Conn., by the Rev. Linda Spiers, rector.
Burial will be in Trinity Church Memorial Garden. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Burn Unit at Bridgeport Hospital, in care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.
Among survivors are two uncles, Stanley B. Knight and Jack Nussberger, and two cousins, Carol Sullivan and Elizabeth Knight.
