Najla Ann Bolus

Najla Ann Bolus, 95, of 158 Dalton Ave., died Saturday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since August.
Born in Botmeh-El-Shoof, Lebanon, on July 30, 1912, daughter of the Rev. Bolus Azar and Marie Suywan Azar, she was educated in Lebanon.
She was a longtime resident of Pittsfield.
Mrs. Bolus, a homemaker, was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Daughters of Lebanon. She enjoyed cooking, crotcheting and gardening.
Her husband, George S. Bolus, whom she married May 18, 1947, in Botmeh-El-Shoof, Lebanon, died July 22, 1982.
She leaves three sons, Saleem G., Michael G. and Joseph G. Bolus, all of Pittsfield; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Najla A. Bolus, who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church by the Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Mrs. Bolus, who enjoyed being with her family, also leaves two daughters-in-law, Charlotte Bolus (Sam) and Beth Bolus (Joseph); her six grandchildren, Karin F. Darji, Sarah A. Feldman, Matthew G. Bolus, Jacquelyn M. Powers, Shaunna M. Brogan and Anthony J. Brogan; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn F. Boehm, Chloe A. Boehm and Madelyn M. Powers; her nephew, Roger Azar of Pittsfield, and her niece, Amira Azar of Pittsfield; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers and sisters. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.
