Jean Laag, 79, formerly of Providence Court, died Tuesday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since December 2003.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 21, 1928, daughter of Edward and Loretta Murphy Furey, she graduated from high school there.
Mrs. Laag was a homemaker.
She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Her husband, Edward Laag, whom she married May 22, 1949, died May 4, 1980.
She leaves three daughters, Anna Braccidieta of Concord, N.C., Linda Errichetto of Pittsfield and Donna Laag Philips of Adams; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Joann Laag and Jeanie Rodick, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Jean Laag, who died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Bryan T. Lamberton, pastor of Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be at a later date in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, Long Island, N.Y.
Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Laag may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
