Julia Lunghi, 92, of 29 Waverly St. died Friday at Springside of Pittsfield, where she had resided since April 1997.
Born in Manhattan, N.Y., on March 31, 1909, daughter of Frank and Marianne Gambardelli Cosenza, she attended New York schools.
A homemaker, Mrs. Lunghi was an accomplished seamstress and known for her good humor. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling to Positano, Italy, where her family originated.
Her husband, Joseph Lunghi, whom she married Sept. 3, 1930, died Aug. 31, 1997.
She leaves a son, Ernest J. Lunghi of Pittsfield; a daughter, Jeanette Guercio of Massapequa, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 10 until the time of the service.
