PITTSFIELD - Judith Ann Shove McLean, 61, of 111 Dewey Ave. died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 30, 1946, daughter of Harold J. and Carol Grogan Sweeney, she attended schools in Lenox.
Mrs. McLean was last employed by Sampco as a machine worker. Before that, she worked as a waitress at the former Nel's Restaurant and at the Village Snack Shop in Lenox, the latter for 11 years. She also was employed by the former Edgcombe and Valley View nursing homes in Lenox as a nurse's aide.
She enjoyed bowling, visiting fairs, dancing and playing bingo.
She and her husband, Richard A. McLean Sr., celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary Nov. 20. They were married in Pittsfield.
Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, Edward Burton Shove and John David Shove, both of Pittsfield, Robert Joseph Shove of Las Vegas and Richard Michael Shove of Lenox Dale; a stepson, Richard A. McLean Jr. of Laconia, N.H.; three stepdaughters, Stephanie Ann McLean, Vicki Lee McLean and Heidi Lynn McLean, all of Laconia; a brother, Brian J. Sweeney of Pittsfield; a sister, Sandra Jamross of Pittsfield, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A graveside service for Judith Ann Sweeney Shove McLean, who died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, will be conducted tomorrow at Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox by the Rev. William D. Furey, pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. McLean may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
