PITTSFIELD - Ivenette Mae Dewey, 81, of 240 Francis Ave., died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Hillcrest Commons, where she had been a patient for three days.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 5, 1926, daughter of Albert E. and Delia Lacourse Daley, she was educated in Becket and Dalton schools.
Mrs. Dewey was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed reading the Bible.
Her husband, Henry R. Dewey Sr., whom she married Sept. 3, 1950, died April 18, 1996.
She leaves three sons, Henry R. Dewey Jr. of North Adams, Donald A. Dewey of Rogers City, Mich., and William A. Dewey of Pittsfield; four daughters, Delia M. Levesque, Ivy M. Plumley and Ruth E. Dewey, all of Pittsfield, and Kathleen M. Wetherell of Averill Park, N.Y.; 29 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, Robert Dewey and David Dewey, and by a daughter, Mary Dewey.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Calling hours for Ivenette Mae "Ivy" Dewey will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Dewey may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield MA 01201.
