Theresa A. Callahan, 75, of 5 Chatham St. died Sunday morning at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 7, 1926, daughter of Michael and Margaret Kearney Callahan, she attended local schools.
Miss Callahan was employed in the power transformer department at GE as a machine operator. She retired in 1986 after 41 years of service.
A communicant of St. Charles' Church, she was a member of the GE Pensioners and Quarter Century clubs, and the American Legion Post 68 Auxiliary. She was a former member of the city of Pittsfield Personnel Board and was a deputy sheriff.She leaves her longtime friends and caregivers, Andrew and Ellen Rice.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 9:15 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Charles' Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today, Tuesday, Aug. 7, from 2 to 5. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires or to Elder Services in care of the funeral home.
