| Burt - our thoughts go out to you at this sad time. The first time I met your mother at your home in E. Williston (very early on, pre-marriage days) she was lying on the sofa with her shoes off, nylon stockinged feet up on a pillow, a book or newspaper in one hand, a glass of something relaxing in the other hand, and a huge smile for you and your friends when we came into the house for a visit. I remember her tactful questioning Jon (I think she called him Jonny) about college and about how his family was, etc. You could see in her eyes how proud she was of you and happy to see you with your friends. I hope your memories bring you comfort and want to let you know we are thinking about you. Hope to see you in July on the cape. Regards/love to Ellen and Will. | | from: Ingrid | on: 04-11-2008 |
