PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Shirley Mae Bolognia, 78, formerly of Pittsfield, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born in Adams on March 22, 1930, daughter of Walter and Bernice Anderson Armstrong, she graduated from Pittsfield High School. She spent the majority of her life in the Berkshires. After her husband's retirement, the couple traveled extensively throughout the United States.
Her husband, Anthony Lewis Bolognia, whom she married on Oct. 28, 1958, in Pittsfield, died in 2003.
She leaves three daughters, Sandra Langill and her husband, Daniel, of East Waterboro, Maine, Christine Rinaldi and her husband, Jay, of Becket and Carrie Parker of Russell; a son, Marc Bolognia of Michigan, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
