Phyllis T. Holden

Phyllis Theresa Holden, 66, of 12 Faulkner Place died Wednesday evening at home.
Born in Pittsfield on June 20, 1935, daughter of Stephania Szymanski LaBlanc of Pittsfield and the late Alfred LaBlanc Sr., she graduated from Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Holden was employed as a clerk at Pittsfield Rye Bakery for 19 years. She later worked at the former Valley View Nursing Home and Edgecombe Nursing Home, both in Lenox, for many years. She was most recently employed by the former Willowood of Pittsfield, now Hillcrest Commons, until June 2000.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, Thomas Edward Holden, whom she married March 1, 1954, died Jan. 20, 1982.
Besides her mother, she leaves three sons, Michael T. Holden of New Ashford, Kevin E. Holden of Richmond and Keith M. Holden of Pittsfield; a daughter, Tracy A. Holden of Pittsfield; three brothers, Francis LeBlanc of Pittsfield, Alfred LaBlanc Jr. of Dalton and Kenneth LaBlanc of Yonkers, N.Y.; a sister, Doreen LaBlanc of Yonkers, N.Y.; six grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 9:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Paul Bombardier, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at Dery Funeral Home will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
