PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Jane M. Fones, 48, of Orchard Street died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 26, 1961, daughter of Robert and Marion Moseley Ball, she attended Sheffield Center School and Mount Everett Regional High School in Sheffield.
She and her husband, Steven J. Fones Sr., were married May 25, 1985, in Winsted, Conn.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Steven J. Fones Jr. and Kevin Fones, both of Pittsfield; five daughters, Lee Ann Otazo and her husband, Anthony, and Bobbie Jo Hamilton and her husband, Kevin, all of Pittsfield, Angela Williams of Mill River, Megan Brogan and her husband, Jeff, of Stockbridge and Amber Tucker of Alford; two brothers, Charles Ball of Pittsfield and Michael Ball of Great Barrington; three sisters, Judy Stevens of Pittsfield, Mary Ball of Lenox and Trina Morin of Winsted, and 13 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Carl H. Williams III and another brother, three sisters and a grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Fones will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington by the Rev. Charles VanAusdall. Burial will follow in Ashley Falls Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jane M.
