Amelia Cetti, 86

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Amelia "Mae" Cetti, 86, of 193 Elberon Ave., died Friday, July 29, 2011, at Berkshire Medical Center in the presence of her loving family.
Born in Chicago on Jan. 5, 1925, to Gustavo and Lucy Danese Lovato, she was raised in Lee and graduated from Lee High School. She spent most of her life in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Cetti spent most of her life in Pittsfield, caring for her family, friends, neighbors and those less fortunate.
With a gleam in her eyes and wit to spare, she weathered the hardships of life with grace, a steely resolve and an unerring sense of right vs. wrong, said family. Undeniably, she was an old-school role model for ethics, compassion and fairness. She cared so much for so many, loved without qualification and has earned her place with Our Father.
Her husband, Philip Cetti, is deceased.
She leaves her three devoted and loving sons and caring daughters-in-law, Richard and Susan Cetti, Alan and Karen Cetti and Perry and Michele Cetti,
all of Pittsfield; a brother, Bruno Lovato of Pittsfield; a sister, Bruna Borowski of Port Charlotte, Fla.; her cherished grandchildren, Marie Cetti of Stratford, Conn., and Elaine, Christina and Cassidy Cetti, all of Pittsfield, and her two great-grandchildren, Lucas Pelkey and Kaylan Cetti, both of Pittsfield, who will dearly miss her.
She was predeceased by her brother Alexander Lovato and sister Mary Pezzottini.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. from St. Charles' Church, Pittsfield, with the Rev. Peter Gregory as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for Elder Services of the Berkshires through the funeral home.
