PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Erica Lyn Keeley, 40, of Pittsfield, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the home of her dear friends, the Kipps, in Hancock, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in New York City in 1971, a daughter of Sarah Williams of Pennsylvania and the late Charles Keeley, she graduated from Simon's Rock College in Great Barrington.
Ms. Keeley was a devoted and dedicated mother and home-schooled her children. She was deeply involved in all her children's activities, which included the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, being a coach for Pittsfield Youth Soccer and being a board member of the Pittsfield Skating Club, where she also was a member of the Pittsfield Pinwheels.
She was a friend to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Besides her mother, she leaves three children, Baraq Polston, Yael Polston and Avital Polston; a sister, Traci Keeley Elligson of Maryland, and many close friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A gathering for Ms. Keeley will take place Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1:30 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at 2 at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are suggested for the Erica Lyn Keeley Children's Education Fund through the funeral home.
