The 18 month renovation of the Probate Court has begun. The building will stay open during the $2.8 million construction but access will be somewhat more difficult because the lawn of the neighboring property will be used as staging. Those coming from Wendell Avenue will need to follow the sidewalk around instead of cutting through the other courts.

 Pittsfield High School's drama society, Proteus, will present its annual "Haunted Halls" at PHS on Friday & Saturday, Oct 26-27, from 6:30-8:30 PM

The public is welcome to experience the thrills, chills, and maybe even a little scare as PHS students participate in presenting their adaptation of horror films to the hallways.

Admission is $3. for students and children, and $5. for adults. Maximum cost to families is $10. Tickets will be available just inside the main entrance doors at PHS.

Dollyrots to Perform at Chameleons Nightclub Saturday Oct. 6

Pittsfield, MASS- An L.A. act with unique ties to the area will return for its 7th show here in five years at Chameleons Nightclub on Saturday.

The Dollyrots, who first played Berkshire County at Dalton's American Legion just prior to their break onto the national scene after being featured in a commercial for Lowe's, have perhaps spent more time playing in the area than any west coast pop music group in recent years.

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. will open a new outpatient clinic located at 42 Summer Street in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The new location will offer medication-assisted treatment and counseling, beginning Tuesday, October 9, 2012. 

 

"There is a need in the treatment community, and Department of Public Health data shows that," said Kristin Nolan, Spectrum's director of outpatient services.
