ROCHESTER, N.H. -- Three different pitchers combined on a three-hitter Saturday morning as the Pittsfield Babe Ruth 13-year-old All-Stars earned an 8-0 win over New Hampshire State Champion Keene at the New England Regional Championship. Mason Daley, Brendan Merwin and Jason Fields combined to strike out eight hitters as Pittsfield improved to 2-0 in pool play at the eight-team tournament. Daley got the start and went 3 and one-third innings, striking out four while allowing just one hit and one walk. PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Quentin Christopher and Jack Abel each had three hits Friday to lead the Pittsfield Babe Ruth 15-year-old All-Stars to a 14-1 win over Lyndon, Vt., in the opening game of the New England Regional Championship at Deming Park. It was a red-letter day for the Pittsfield Babe Ruth program, as its three all-star teams went 3-0 in regional competitions across New England. Both singled in seven-run first inning for Pittsfield, which also saw the team get hits from Ethan O’Donnell and Jack Farkas. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A $3 million federal earmark will bolster the revitalization of Wahconah Park and shows the government's recognition of its significance.

U.S. Rep. Richard Neal on Friday officially announced the historic baseball site's allocation to local and state officials at City Hall.

"I think for those of us who are sporting fans and former participants, the word 'iconic' is overused in America," he said. "But guess what? When it comes to Wahconah Park, it’s the appropriate designation. Iconic."
