LENOX, Mass. — New trustees and approximately 25 past and present members of the Lenox Library Association Board of Trustees and their guests gathered on Sunday, March 10, at the library.
Current board members had an opportunity to meet past board members to exchange ideas and library history.
The trustees recently welcomed four new board members: Jo Anne Magee, Lenox School Board member; Richard Taylor, retired entrepreneur and consultant; David Fromm, attorney and author; and Matthew Keator, financial adviser and partner of the Keator Group in Lenox.
Board President Stephen Peters thanked past board members for the tough decisions that they have made over the last 20 years to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of library services.
Executive Director Sharon Hawkes addressed the group about the library’s current major initiatives that include the townwide reading project "Lenox Reads Together" and the library's collaboration with the Lenox Historical Society to digitize numerous historic documents and photographs. Hawkes also announced the appointment of new youth services librarian Orion Walker-Hazard.
The library association is grateful to Classical Tents, The Red Lion Inn, Nejaime's Wine Cellars and photographer Scott Barrow for their support of this event.
