GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The Don Gleason District 1 Little League 8- to 10-year-old Championship got underway last week with the Pittsfield American League jumping out to a pair of wins in pool play.

The 8-10 tournament took a day off on Sunday for the holiday but gets back underway on Friday with a modified schedule to allow families to get to Wahconah Park to see the Taconic High School baseball team play its Division 3 state title game at 3.

In fact, all three Little League age groups are set to play on Monday at Olympian Meadows, but the games will be held earlier due to the high school game in Pittsfield.
