PITTSFIELD, Mass. — John Murphy has been elected President of the Rotary Club of Pittsfield for 2021/2022, the year running July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. 

 

Murphy has been a member of the Club for 35 years and his year will focus on fostering and building on the Club's community literacy efforts.  

 

An active Rotarian and community member, he serves as Secretary of the Board of Berkshire Retirement Home and Affiliates, Trustee of the Berkshire Athenaeum, Board Member of the Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center and Board Member South Mountain Association. He is an Account Executive with Cross Insurance here in Pittsfield where he grew up, raising three daughters with his wife, Joanne, and is the son of the late David and Callie Murphy, carrying on the family tradition of service to the community.
