Temperatures are expected to stay in the 70s this week. This is lower than the seasonal average.

Meteorologist Steve Caporizzo tweeted a graphic Tuesday indicating that temperatures have typically been in the 80s this time of year.

Today in North Adams, temperatures should stay in the 70s with mostly cloudy skies. According to Accuweather, do not expect the temperature to go above 76 Wednesday

Similar conditions can be found in Central and South County. Accuweather predicts a little more sun further south.

One thing of note: as of Wednesday afternoon there are no air quality alerts. Currently, MassDEP reports that air quality is "good" in Berkshire County.

On Tuesday MassDEP issued a yellow level air quality (moderate) warning and on Monday a red level air quality (unhealthy) alert.

MassDEP reported that these conditions are directly connected to the western United States and Canadian wildfires moving over the New England region.

The rain should hold off today, but there is a possibility of thunderstorms with a chance of rain Thursday throughout the county.

According to Accuweather, humidity should drop Friday after some morning showers. The rest of the day should be partly sunny with temperatures in the low to mid-70s. This should be the case throughout Berkshire County.

Expect more of the same this weekend. Saturday looks mostly sunny with temperatures in the low 70s. More clouds are expected Sunday with a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon.
