Delisle Sets Record as BABL Wraps Up Regular Season

The Gremlins did not do enough to make the Berkshire Adult Baseball League playoffs, but they got a big highlight to end their regular season last weekend.
 
Corey Delisle set a league record with five hits in a 13-9 win over the Pirates in the finale for both 35-year-old Division teams.
 
Delisle went 5-for-6 and drove in four runs int he win. Chris Gouty and Graham Moriarty each had three hits for the Gremlins, who got 5-2/3 innings and the win on the mound from Josh Froebel.
 
Darren Jefferson went 2-for-3, and Jason Ryan drove in three runs for the Pirates.
 
Adams Aces 11, Thunder 1
The Aces wrapped up a perfect regular season and the top spot in the four-team 35-year-old Division playoffs with the win.
 
Pat Ryan doubled and drove in a run, and Corey Swistak tripled and drove in three in a nine-run first inning.
 
Jake Barbarotta homered to account for the the Thunder's run.
 
Dalton Moneymakers 8, Tunnel City Freight 4
Steve Kisiel and Brian Betters each had a pair of hits in the come-from-behind win for Dalton, which grabbed the third seed in the 35-year-old tourney and dropped TCF to fourth in the final regular season standings.
 
Kevin Lamb had three hits to lead Tunnel City.
 
20-Year-Old Division
BBA 7, Devils 0
BBA 11, Devils 0
Joe Gratton and Hunter Potash each delivered a complete-game shutout on the mound to lead BBA to the double-header sweep.
 
In Game One, Gratton struck out 16 in five innings of work and benefited from Potash's three hits and two apiece from Christian Robitaille and Henry Sniezek.
 
In the nightcap, Potash struck out nine and went 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Sniezek drove in three, and Dick Dumas went 2-for-2 at the plate.
 
For the Devils, Mike Carnevale went 2-for-2.
 
Great Barrington Millers 3, Housatonic River Monsters 0
Ollie Cookson led off with a single, stole second and scored on Scott McFarland's single, and Alex Salazar's two-run homer drove in McFarland in the first inning to account for all the game's scoring.
 
Brooks Belter struck out 11 in four innings to earn the win on the mound.
