PITTSFIELD, Mass — To help current or prospective students at Berkshire Community College (BCC) learn about aid options such as FAFSA, scholarships and work-study programs, BCC’s Student Financial Services will host four free information sessions about how to navigate paying for college. 

 

The 30-minute sessions, conducted online via Zoom, will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, at 3 pm; Tuesday, March 8 at 12:30 pm; Wednesday, March 30 at 9 am; and Monday, April 11 at 3:30 pm. Each year, more than 80 percent of BCC students receive an average award of $5,000. Financial aid can cover tuition and other academic fees, living expenses or both. Day, evening and online students who are enrolled either full- or part-time are eligible for financial aid consideration.

 

Those seeking financial aid should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible. Although deadlines are rolling, many sources of federal aid are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
