LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — The Planning Board welcomed its new member Leanne Yinger on Monday.
During the meeting, the board voted to have Gwen Miller as the new chair after Jeff DeChaine decided not to run for another 5-year term.
Miller has been on the Planning Board since 2017 and received her master's in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has worked itown and regional planning in the Berkshires for the last decade.
The only concern that the board raised was meeting attendance because of family responsibilities and her job as land use director and town planner for Lenox.
Miller reassured the board that she would be able to work around the meetings.
Barb Davis-Hassan was voted to be vice chair and will also continue her position as the delegate to the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission and will also serve as the vice chair of the Planning Board.
Miller stepped down from her position as an alternate delegate to the BRPC and Yinger was appointed the position in her place.
