PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A Pittsfield man has been arrested in connection with the unarmed robbery at Greylock Federal Credit Union on Aug. 8.

Police say Daniel McCutchen, 53, was identified as the person who walked into Kellog Street branch, presented a handwritten demand note for money and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Video surveillance in the area aided in the identification of McCutchen. Police investigators applied for and were granted an arrest warrant charging McCutchen with unarmed robbery.

On Aug. 18, members of the Anti-Crime Unit were conducting foot patrol in Springside Park when they encountered McCutchen at a small campsite. He was taken into custody without incident. He has been cooperative with investigators as to his involvement with this incident.

He is currently being held on $2,500 bail pending his next court date.

The investigation was conducted by the Detective Bureau and Digital Evidence Unit.
