PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The documentary "Belanger: Big League Ball Player, Small Town Story," will be screened on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the Berkshire Athenaeum.

 

The event is sponsored by the Baseball in the Berkshires museum and is free and open to the public.

 

The movie, which runs about 70 minutes, will be followed by a question and answer session with Al Belanger, the brother of Mark, a Pittsfield native who won eight gold gloves in an 18-year Major League Baseball career.

 

The Athenaeum is located at 1 Wendell Ave in Pittsfield.
